DIANE NINEMIRE
is the Head Coach of
the University of California Golden Bears.
On December 11, 2009, Diane will be inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame at the NFCA Convention in Nashville, TN. Entering her 23rd season at Cal, Diane has amassed 960 wins. Her 960 wins is second in Pac-10 history and she is the 11th softball coach in NCAA history to amass 900 wins. Diane has led Cal to a National Championship in 2002 (6-0 victory over Arizona), back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2004, nine Women.s College World Series trips (7 straight trips from '99-'05), and 22 straight NCAA Regional berths. Over the last five years, Diane has led Cal to four Super Regionals. Diane was named the NFCA National Coach of the Year in 2002. During her tenure at Cal, Diane has coached 34 All-Americans, 80 All-region, and 134 all-conference athletes. Diane was the assistant coach for the 2004 Greek Olympic softball team.
