DIANE NINEMIRE is the Head Coach of the University of California Golden Bears. On December 11, 2009, Diane was inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame at the NFCA Convention in Nashville, TN. Entering her 25th season in 2012 at Cal, Diane has amassed 1059 wins. Her 1059 wins is second in Pac-10 history and she is the 11th softball coach in NCAA history to amass 900 wins. Diane has led Cal to a National Championship in 2002 (6-0 victory over Arizona), back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2004, ten Women’s College World Series trips (7 straight trips from ’99-’05), and 23 straight NCAA Regional berths. During her tenure as Head Coach of Cal, Diane has led her teams to the NCAA tournament every year. Over the last seven years, Diane has led Cal to six Super Regionals. Diane was named the NFCA National Coach of the Year in 2002. In 2011, Diane and the Cal staff were named NFCA Pacific Region Staff of the Year. In addition to coaching successful teams, Diane has coached 39 All-Americans, 93 All-region, and 156 all-conference athletes. In 2004, Diane was the assistant coach for the Greek Olympic softball team at the Olympics held in Athens, Greece.
