This is an incredible opportunity to train with a National Pro Fast pitch player, Olympic instructors and Division 1 college coaches and players. The clinic is designed to provide instruction of the basic fundamentals as well as the core techniques used at the highest levels of softball. All players will be instructed under the supervision of a diverse and enthusiastic professional staff that believes in positive reinforcement in order to promote self-confidence and to mentally visualize success as an athlete. Each student-athlete will train in the hitting enhancement sessions or slap hitting specialty group and the position specific defensive sessions. The student-athletes train in small groups which allow the instructor to have personal interaction with any individual player during the training period. The objective is for the specialized instructor to actively train each student-athlete as they apply the concepts presented during the training sessions.
**The hitting video analysis with Rob Crews is an available option
to the athletes attending the clinic. The hitting video analysis is conducted on the T2motion Touchscreen System, which is the same system used by the USSSA Pride of the NPF Softball league. The T2motion Touchscreen System captures and catalogs movement providing superior feedback and video quality that goes beyond HD. The 90 frames per second camera allow the detection of movement the human eye could never capture. Rob Crews will provide both a live verbal analysis and a detailed video analysis file. The detailed hitting video analysis file includes an additional video of personal evaluation and instruction from Rob Crews to enhance the player’s development in hitting. The T2motion Touchscreen System’s tools and features allows for advanced analysis such as diagramming lines on the hitter’s video to illustrate and reinforce certain concepts that are communicated to the player at the hitting sessions.
Clinic
Facility:
The clinic will be held at the Vincent Lombardi Memorial Center at Fordham University. The spacious Lombardi Center, complete with two batting cages and large sectional floor-to-ceiling net dividers, is the indoor training facility for the Fordham Women's Softball team. The enormous amount of space and isolation from the public make the Lombardi Center an ideal facility for the clinic. The Fordham Women's Softball team will assist the featured instructors in all drill work and activity during the small group breakout sessions.

**Please note: During the instruction period, only the clinic participants and registered coaches will be allowed access to the training floor inside the Lombardi Center. There is a section inside the Lombardi Center for parents to view the sessions. For those parents who will serve as a parent-catcher, a schedule will be posted at the registration table, which will inform the parent as to when to report to catch the player.
